We currently support eRequest imports for TELUS PS Suite and OSCAR. Not using one of these EMRS? Don't panic... many clinics use eRequests without EMR integration and you also have the option to export eRequests to a spreadsheet or as a PDF at any time.
If you are using PS Suite or OSCAR and wish to import an eRequest, you'll first want to make sure you are using a version of the Ocean Toolbar with an "import" button. If your toolbar doesn't include this button, grab the latest Family Medicine Toolbar from the Library.
Back in the Ocean portal, open the eRequest tab and find the eRequest you want to import. It will normally be in the "new" folder, so you can open it and click "accept". It will show a number. In PS Suite or OSCAR, click "import" and enter this number. The demographic updates will be applied and the eRequest note will be imported as a progress note by Ocean.
If you are using Accuro or another EMR, using the Ocean portal, open the eRequest tab and find the eRequest you want to import. It will normally be in the "new" folder, so you can open it and click "accept". Once you have done this, you will be provided with the option to download the eRequest. You can right click the download link and save the PDF to a folder of your choice. From here, with Accuro and several other EMRs, you can import your newly downloaded file.
